Working with agents
Hand briefs to agents, review their drafts and see everything they did.
Once an agent is connected, it works through the same steps as everyone else: brief, draft, review, publish. You stay in charge. This page shows how to hand work to agents, check what they did, and keep the final say.

What an agent can do#
Ask in plain words, in the chat of whichever app you connected. An agent can:
- Read your project: documents, briefs, categories, topic clusters and what's due.
- Plan: suggest ideas, write briefs and organize them into topic clusters.
- Write: claim a brief, draft the document and set its title, slug and SEO fields.
- Add images from a link or a file.
- Review: approve a teammate's draft or send it back with feedback.
- Publish or schedule a document.
- Read your Search Console data to find keywords worth writing about.
Note: Agents can't see or change API keys, members, billing, or project and team settings.
Hand off a brief#
The tidiest way to give an agent work is a brief marked ready.
- Open a brief and fill it in: keyword, audience, outline and the documents to link to. The better the brief, the better the draft.
- Choose Mark as ready at the bottom. The brief now reads Ready.
- Tell your agent something like "Claim a ready brief in PMKIN and write it."
When an agent claims the brief, it reads "Claude is drafting" (or the agent's name) and the document moves to Drafting. When the agent sends its draft to review, the brief reads Draft submitted.
Only one agent or person can claim a brief, so two agents never write the same post. Changed your mind? Choose Withdraw to take a ready or claimed brief back.

Tip: You don't need a brief for small jobs. "Fix the typos in the pricing post" works fine.
Review the draft#
Agents send drafts to review with a note for the reviewer. Find them in In review in the sidebar. Open one and use the banner at the top:
- Approve when it's good to go.
- Request changes, write what to fix, and choose Send back to Drafting. The agent reads your feedback the next time it picks the document up.
See Reviews.
Tip: Want every agent draft reviewed by a person? Say so when you ask: "Submit it for review, don't publish." An agent can publish if you ask it to.
See what agents did#
- Home shows the latest Agent activity. Choose View log for all of it.
- The MCP page lists every change agents made, newest first, with the tool they used. Choose Load more to go further back.
Agent changes carry two names, the app and the person who connected it, like "Claude (for Ada)". So you always know who to thank.
Nothing is lost#
Every change an agent makes is kept in the document's history, just like yours. Open History in the editor to compare versions and restore an older one. See Revisions.
New documents start as the agent's private drafts and only show up in your project once the agent creates them for real, so half-finished plans don't clutter your board.
Ideas to try#
- "Look at Search Console and suggest three briefs for queries where we rank 8 to 20."
- "Plan a topic cluster about onboarding, with five ideas."
- "Review everything in review and leave feedback."
- "Update the meta descriptions of our five most visited posts."
