Connect an AI agent

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to PMKIN in about two minutes.

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI agents can work in PMKIN like a teammate: plan ideas, claim briefs, write drafts, send them to review and publish. They connect through PMKIN's MCP server, and setup takes about two minutes.

Find your MCP server URL#

  1. Open MCP in the project sidebar, under Connect.
  2. Copy the MCP server URL: https://mcp.pmkin.io/mcp.

That one URL reaches every project you have access to, so you only connect each app once. A Live badge shows next to it when an agent used it in the last 15 minutes.

Set up your client#

Under Set up a client, pick your app. The tab shows exactly what to paste, with a copy button.

Claude Code#

Run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http pmkin https://mcp.pmkin.io/mcp

Claude Desktop#

Add the snippet from the tab to claude_desktop_config.json. Or skip the file: in Claude's Settings, go to Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the MCP server URL.

Cursor#

Add the snippet from the tab to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

ChatGPT#

  1. Open Settings and go to Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the MCP server URL.
  4. Sign in with your PMKIN account to authorize access.

Sign in and approve#

The first time an app connects, it opens PMKIN in your browser. The page tells you which app wants access and what it can do: read briefs, draft, update and publish documents in every project you can access. Choose Approve, and you're done.

Note: Projects you join later are included. Leaving a team removes its projects.

Use an API key instead#

Some setups can't sign in. For those, open Use an API key instead on the MCP page. It gives you a key-based server URL and a snippet with a placeholder, YOUR_PMKIN_KEY.

  • Choose Create a key for this agent to make a key and fill it in, or
  • paste a Read & write key from the project's API page.

A key works for one project only. ChatGPT can't send a key, so connect it with the sign-in steps above.

Warning: You won't be able to see a new key again after you leave the page. Store it somewhere safe, like your password manager.

Connected apps#

Connected apps on the MCP page lists the apps people signed in to, who connected each one and when it was last used. Choose Disconnect to cut one off. It stops working right away; to use it again, connect it with the MCP server URL and sign in.

What agents can't do#

Agents work on content. They can't see or change API keys, members, billing, or project and team settings.
