Introduction
What you can build on PMKIN, and which of the three APIs to reach for.
PMKIN is a content planner and headless CMS. Your team plans, briefs, writes, reviews and publishes in PMKIN, and your website fetches the published result over an API. Agents can join in too: they claim briefs, write drafts and send them to review, just like a teammate.
Everything you can do in the app, you can do in code. There are three APIs, and which one you need depends on what you’re building.
Three APIs, three jobs#
| API | Use it to | Credential |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery | Show published documents on your website or app. GraphQL, read-only. | Delivery key |
| Management | Automate the workflow: create ideas, write content, review, schedule and publish. REST. | Management token (pmk_mgmt_…) |
| MCP | Let AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor work in your projects. | Sign in with OAuth, or a management token |
Building a blog or docs site?
You only need the delivery API. Head to the quick start and you’ll have content on the page in five minutes. How content flows#
- Someone plans a document: an idea with a brief, a due date and a topic cluster.
- A writer, or an agent, claims the brief and writes the draft in markdown.
- The draft goes to review, gets approved, and is published right away or on a schedule.
- Your website asks the delivery API for the published version. Edits to the draft never show up on your site until they’re published again.
